Progress Report #1

It’s been one month since the Butterfly Project finalists started their journey to achieve the ultimate makeover. While some are still taking it at a leisurely pace, others are really working it out! Chan Wan Lee checks in with them as they pay a visit to Marie France Bodyline, their new slimming sponsor, for a consultation on their diet.

Stats:

Weight
START: 69kg
NOW: 68.5kg

Bust
START: 94cm
NOW: 91cm

Waist
START: 74cm
NOW: 74cm

Hips
START: 104cm
NOW: 104cm

Eating habits: “Cereal, bread, biscuits and low fat milk for breakfast, noodle soup and a slice of fruit for lunch, and rice with many side dishes and fruits for dinner.”

Diet history: “I tried a low fat, low carb diet with three to four days of exercise a week. It worked for the first few months but once I stopped working out, the same intake of food didn’t help me lose much weight anymore!”

Current diet: “Basically cutting down on carbs and increasing my exercise time.”

Biggest dieting challenge: “It is sometimes hard to resist food, especially the sweet stuff. The biggest problem for me is my tendency to over-diet and then over-eat to compensate. That is something like a crash diet for me.”

Best solution: “My solution is to learn to eat six small meals a day to fill my stomach with some food before I get too hungry. Of course, adequate exercise is needed to balance everything up.”

L’Oréal Professionnel progress report:
“I was advised by Centro Hair Salon to keep my hair as it is so that they can see if it can be permed again during the makeover. I’ve thus not trimmed my fringe for a month now and it’s getting quite irksome for me, especially when my hair keeps getting into my eyes. I’m looking forward to the change and how the L’Oréal Professionnel products can help my dry hair.”

“The biggest problem for me is my tendency to over-diet and then over-eat to compensate.”
